The Acid Spitter is a fast, pack-focused drake, available as a DLC. The Acid Spitter drake is intended as a weaker dragon, hunting primarily in packs. Despite lack of flight abilities, it is able to run at incredible speeds, being able to keep up with even the most agile fliers. It utilizes the acid element for both ranged and close-quarters attacks.

Gameplay

Appearance

The drake has vividly colored fins across its body, that are used primarily for intimidation and mating dances. Its anatomy is largely based off of canines, both in design and animation. The various skins available for the Acid Spitter will often differ in color to the rest of the body. Females of the species will have a slightly toned down colors compared to Males.

Abilities

Acid Spitter's titular ability is its acid spit. It will damage the player over time and cause armor decay, as well as lower target's resistances to various attacks.

Acid Spitter's special ability is a "decaying bite". When first activated, the drake will raise its tail and growl, after which its mouth will start excreting green, glowing acid. The special effect will be applied with the next bite, after which the ability will have to be charged again.

The Acid Spitter is able to sprint exceedingly fast. To activate a sprint, the drake has to first crouch down, and then transition into a normal run. When held, this will cause the drake to go into a sprint, allowing it to run much faster than any other land-dweller. This has an increased usage on stamina, but is a great way to quickly traverse the world.

All skins can be used in-game by being nested by parents that have them. Kickstarter skins can have a shimmer effect added on top of them. This will change the name of the skin in the information menu, but the skin acts as its non-shimmer counterpart when nesting.
