Sickness is a game mechanic that takes affect when the player eats something toxic, such as the Thornback Crawler or certain types of mushrooms.

At about 50% sickness, the player's vision begins to blur. If sickness reaches 100%, the player will begin to receive damage.

The spread of sickness can be slowed by sleeping. Sickness goes away on its own over time.
